Communication alumnus published in The New Yorker
Congratulations to Marcus Jackson! His poem titled “Mary at the Tattoo Shop” was published in a recent July issue New Yorker magazine. In 2003, Marcus graduated magna cum laude with degrees in communication and English with a focus in creative writing.

Communication grad hired as UT New Media Coordinator
Congratulations to John Andosca, Communication alumnus, who has been hired as UT’s New Media Coordinator by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Communication.
Welcome our New Faculty
David Strukel is our new Lecturer in Broadcasting. He comes to us from teaching video broadcasting at Aurora High School in Aurora, OH. Dave earned his Master's at Kent State University and his B.A. from Bowling Green State University. He has also worked at WCER AM 900 in Canton, WJER in Dover, WAKC-TV 23 in Akron, and WHBC in Canton. David will be teaching COMM 2000 "Mass Communication and Society", COMM 2210 "Radio Production", and COMM 3270 "Radio and TV News Writing".
Meg Bonham is our new Visiting Instructor. She has served as an adjunct instructor at Owens Community College and here in the Department of Communication at UT. She earned her M. A. in Professional Communication from LaSalle University and her B. A. in Communication from Xavier University in Cincinnati. Meg has also served as Director of Trio
Programs at Hocking College, and as an Admissions Counselor at Ohio Dominican College. Meg will teach sections of COMM 2600 "Public Presentations" and COMM 3810 "Group Communication".
Visiting The Department
The main office of the Department of Communication is currently located on the fourth floor of University Hall (UH4600) on the northwest side of the Bancroft Campus. Our television studio and production facilities are in Rocket Hall (RH on the map) on the southwest side of campus. See the map on UT's visitors page. By car: Enter the university from Bancroft Street at Campus Drive and park in Lot 13. Walk across the street and take the path between MacKinnon Hall (MK) and Tucker Hall (TH).
