Communication is one of 18 departments in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Toledo. The Department has one of the highest student enrollments in the College, averaging 500-600 majors in its four undergraduate areas of study.

Its full-time faculty all hold Ph.D.'s and have expertise in areas of journalism, broadcasting, public relations, and interpersonal and business communication.
Our department is committed to instruction that responsibly blends theory and professional practice skills. Through our classwork and our facilities we're dedicated to challenging our students and preparing them for productive futures in a changing technology-based work environment.

Our television studio and production area are housed at Media Services in Rocket Hall on the southwest side of campus. Media Services oversees the studio along with producing award-winning media for video, television, and the web.

The department's many alumni occupy positions in the community and around the world in media, business, academic and many other kinds of organizations.

The main office of the Department of Communication is currently located on the fourth floor of University Hall (UH4600) on the northwest side of the Bancroft Campus. Our television studio and production facilities are in Rocket Hall (RH on the map) on the southwest side of campus. See the map on UT's visitors page.
By car: Enter the university from Bancroft Street at Campus Drive and park in Lot 13. Walk across the street and take the path between MacKinnon Hall (MK) and Tucker Hall (TH). University Hall (UH) is the building with the large tower.
